2011 Japanese Senchas
With the arrival of the first teas of the year, the annual wait is over. For our 5th year we are pleased to bring you selections from Uji's spring harvest. As with previous years we are offering Uji Gyokuro Supreme and Sencha Premium as well as last year's hit Uji Farmer's Sencha. We were also able to procure 1kg of a 'traditional blend' that will sell under the name Kyoto Traditional Blend. This limited edition tea is grown in the mineral-rich soil found in the mountainous ravines of Yuyadani. With ideal growing conditions these tea trees produce an exceptional clarity of yellowish-green color. The astringent aroma is fresh and spring like with a mellow flavor.
